Is three festivals too many for one trip?

Wacken is set in stone. Party.San is looking good.

Would adding Summer Breeze, the week after Party.San, be too ambitious?

Pros: Obituary are playing.

Cons: After two festivals we’re likely to be a bit worn out and ever-so-slightly meh. Not to mention probably broke.

What do you reckon? Over-ambitious or are we being emo?

We were doing 3 festivals, each a week apart, but the middle one (not a metal festival) got cancelled.

If stuff you really, really want to see is at all festivals, I say go for it! If you hate it soooo much, you could always leave early and go explore somewhere quieter. Have you thought about going to Summer Breeze just the day Obituary are playing?

Heh thanks Steff. I would like to at least have a go at it — but it WOULD mean packing up our tent instead of leaving it the field!

I’m sure there’ll be more Summer Breeze announcements that will make me squee — I’m just a HUGE Obit fan so it caught my eye :)

Three festivals isn’t nearly enough!!! If I could do it, I’d do Party.San, Summer Breeze, Wacken, Bloodstock, Tuska, Sweden Rock, Inferno… the list goes on. Doing them all in one year would be absolutely awesome.
