The Wacken organisers have announced they’re selling a “download card” which will let people download MP3s from selected Wacken performances after the festival. And they’re selling a Wacken-branded USB stick too.
I didn’t look at the pictures but when I was telling Dave, he said was pretty sure they would be the bog standard USB drive with logo on the metal flippy bit like we are getting as promo materials a lot lately.
As it turns out, no. They are freaking BULLET-SHAPED! The news item doesn’t tell you what the capacity of the drive is but these days they’re usually at least 2GB… but who cares how big they are when they’re BULLET-SHAPED?
That USB is the coolest thing I have ever seen!! Where can I get one??

Well, they’ll be selling them at the Wacken Festival, but they will probably have them for sale on their site afterwards — they don’t seem to have them yet:

This Stick is trash!
Aha! I got one of this now (thanks to CB). It’s only 1GB but it’s the fastest USB I’ve had.
Heh,seeing as it was only 1GB I never ended up getting any!
